RFID Warehouse Management Application

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), commonly known as “RFID Tag”, is a non-contact automatic identification technology. It automatically recognizes target objects and obtains related data through radio frequency signals. The identification work requires no manual intervention and is a wireless version of the barcode. RFID technology has the advantages of waterproof, anti-magnetic, high-temperature resistance, long service life, far read distance, data encryption on the label, larger storage data capacity, and easy change of stored information. 1. Automatic access to and from the warehouse: 

Hand-held readers can read and write at distances of up to 2-5 meters. Read-write readers can read and write distances of up to 12 meters. If you use active electronic tags, the effective identification distance can reach 30 meters. The capacity of the dimensional bar code is 50 Bytes, the maximum capacity of the 2D barcode can store 2 to 3,000 characters, and the maximum capacity of the RFID is several MBytes. With the development of memory carriers, the data capacity has also continued to expand. The amount of data required to carry future items will increase, and the demand for the capacity of labels to expand will increase accordingly.

5. Long service life, adapting to harsh environment:

RFID tags can not only be embedded or attached to different shapes and types of products, but also can set passwords for the reading and writing of tag data, so as to have higher security. Solution Overview
Using advanced RFID technology, RFID tags are placed on the goods in the warehouse, each product is marked, or the pallets are identified, so that the goods are connected to the pallets; then, antennas and readers are installed at the entrances to and exit from the warehouses. When the cargo tray passes through the gate, the tag will be read by the reader, so that the quantity of the incoming and outgoing goods can be known by counting the number of tags, and then the warehouse software can be used to automatically process the inbound and outbound warehouses to complete the operation of automatic storage.

Placing labels on shelves to identify shelves and installing readers and on-board computers on forklifts will enable the correlation of goods and shelves; reading the labels of shelves and goods by forklift readers can accurately record goods. The storage location of the forklift truck can also provide information on the position of the forklift in the warehouse, so as to assemble the forklift.
The process of inventorying is done using a handheld device. The employee reads the data on the goods he wants to inventory.
